I have written most of my life. While still a pre-schooler, I once got in trouble for scribbling in the back of a book. I continued writing throughout school, working on high school and college newspapers, and eventually getting a BA in journalism and creative writing. Hello everyone, my name is Dawn and I have recently returned to writing after a break of many years due to nursing my husband and raising my family. I was widowed almost 18 months ago and now find I have the time to write again. The book "Widowhood 101" was written during the first year and a half of widowhood and is just a few of the things I learned during this time. I hope it helps others along this journey. Kimberly A. Bettes lives in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of southeast Missouri with her husband and son. No, she doesn't run moonshine. And no, she doesn't make moonshine, either. Although from time to time, one would think she had partaken of a hearty batch. And yes, she has all her teeth. While she doesn't wear overalls, she knows many people who do. Before you ask, yes, she wears shoes. And socks. Constantly. It's part of her OCD. Living in the Ozarks doesn't require you to tell people to squeal like a pig. It's completely optional. Kimberly is a freelance writer and photographer. Her trademark seems to be photos of flowers with mysteriously appearing bugs that she doesn't notice while taking the photograph, only later. It's a good thing she mainly photographs flowers. God forbid she should be photographing say, a mountain and not see the grizzly bear charging at her. This would lead to a completely different Bio page. Or as some would call it, a Eulogy. Kimberly has many hobbies including knitting, crocheting, embroidery, and quilting. It's not unusual to find her in a rocking chair, knitting. But don't think she's old yet because while she's knitting, she's singing along with Eminem or Rob Zombie. After receiving many complaints from her neighbors about said singing, Kimberly has decided to try to limit the singing to showers only. So far, she's failed to live up to her end of the compromise. Fortunately for all involved parties, Kimberly's winning personality keeps her neighbors on her good side and there doesn't seem to be an imminent law suit lurking in the near future. At least not for her inability to sing. The hobby of Kimberly's that most worries those who know her is her obsession with serial killers. No, not people who hate Fruit Loops, but the people who make a dirty habit out of killing other people. They fascinate her. Not because she wants to be like them. That would make her weird. But what appeals to her is how at any second, anyone can cross that line. She likes to know what makes people tick. Other than Tourette's Syndrome. Don't worry. She doesn't write to them in prison or anything. After all, the price of stamps has skyrocketed lately. She doesn't have posters of murderers hanging on her walls. Her husband gripes too much about the thumbtack holes they leave. She just reads about them and studies them from afar. Seriously. It's completely normal. Let's call it...research. Yeah. That's it. Research for those crazy novels she writes. Speaking of those novels, Kimberly is the author of Annie's Revenge, The Good Neighbor, Minutes to Death, Rage, and several short stories, poems and songs. She has many projects in the works. If she can keep herself from procrastinating, you can expect to find some more of her work available soon.

Captain Peter Cain (born 1954) spent all his childhood years living in a small village called Buxworth which is situated in the hills of the Peak District in North Derbyshire. At the age of 20, he broke away from village life to become a Redcoat Entertainer at the Butlins Holiday Centre in Ayr, Scotland. From there he advanced from being a bingo caller and then manager to sales executive for a cleaning firm before finally owning his own business which he eventually sold. He aimed for a complete 'life change' and went through the process of becoming a professional boat skipper. He sailed around to Portugal and settled in the beautiful tourist locality of Lagos, which is situated in the west of the Algarve. He has worked in the region as a skipper on various tourist boats during the summer seasons since 2000. When he was in his early 30’s, having always shown an interest in writing, he was a whisker away from having some of his work accepted for TV. Until recently his work commitments prevented him from further pursuing his love of writing and poetry, but now has time to return to his favourite pastime. His first book, which has been published through Kindle is called 'Percy the Parrot - and Other Pet Subjects', which is based on the African Grey parrot Peter once owned and also in the book are some of his many other humorous encounters with various creatures ranging from mice to elephants. To add to this, his new book 'A Sign of the Rhymes' which was released on March 1st 2012 contains humorous rhymes, 'Puzzling Poems' and a concept he has named 'Re-versing Rhyme', an interesting take on poetry.
