I am a teenage African American poetess trying to open up a new avenue in the world of Dragons: Space Dragons!! And I WILL make it "work." My stories are mostly flash fiction, short stories and (best of all) poetry. About The Society On Da Run series: Earth has seen many visitors, from space dragons colonizing the planet in Pre Cambrian times to intelligent insectoids and benevolent owl gods. Follow the adventures of a wide cast of characters as they encounter the dragons of the Draconizica empire, and Ashuton Karrucci, the god of dragons going about his daily life in Italy. From a story about a small town ravaged by an airborn dragon virus, to a story about a cruel dragon king on a terraformed Mars, to the story of a girl pregnant with a Dragon god, these stories are not bound by the norms of the Fantasy and Science Fiction genres. Also includes stories unrelated to the dragons. _______________________________________________ As of March 2012, all issues in the TSODR have been (or are being) updated with new covers and additional content. Flash Fiction, Volume 1 by Kelli Jae Baeli Flash Fiction, Volume 1 by Kelli Jae Baeli March 21, 2012 $0.99 8995 words
Author bio:
*All Books unavailable here in standard ebook formats, can be had at the author's site in PDF format.* Baeli was born to spin a yarn. The daughter of a professional musician, she arrived in Wichita and began her journey with a song in her heart and a plethora of passion erupting from her pen. This love of lyrics, prose and poetry was just the simple seed of what would grow into a wordsmith's obsession with the creation of multifarious characters and storylines that fork with dual plot lines into romance and intrigue. Oklahoma, Arkansas and Colorado are just a few locales that surface in Baeli's novels as these places are ones she drank in from her time in University, to retreating for self exploration. Each place is rich in bucolic terrain and provided grand palettes for her mysteries and suspenseful romances. Townies and their coveted colloquialisms provided divine fodder for tales too real to be true. There is nothing like experience to craft a character. Baeli has plenty to spare—from a stint in the military to late nights spent delivering newspapers, waiting tables, or as a technical writer for a corporate jet company. Each job was a necessity, but one that Baeli turned into a study in the human condition or sometimes inhumane conditions. Some of Baeli's fondest endeavors were fronting an all female band for seven years in Little Rock and her enjoyable time as a managing editor for a women's press. In recent years, Baeli has pursued technology with a dedicated passion. Website building, blogging and creating and maintaining online forums have shared the docket with her ever-present story crafting. Baeli has relied on her technical writing roots and expanded her repertoire, enabling her to edit for herself and other writers, both accomplished and aspiring. With over 200 song writing credits and 26 books to her credit, Kelli Jae Baeli shows no signs of wear. She has returned to her beloved Colorado where she may be found amongst the Denverites, people-watching over coffee and conversation, awaiting the next story to inspire and entrance. (~Justice Harlow) The author can be followed on Twitter @JaeBaeli. Reader and Professional reviews, as well as Feedback, Praises, and First-Born Children, are cheerfully accepted via her website, jaebaeli.com.

Ian is the third generation in his family to become a published author, his maternal grandfather, Bernard Capes, and Bernard's son, Renalt, preceding him. Ian’s own writing began in secondary school, and extended into comedy sketches and lyrics for the stage in his early twenties. Later he found himself writing for the Education Department, and, after going into private practice, writing reports, proposals, and scripts for training videos and some television commercials. The catalyst for fiction writing was a story a colleague told him one day about a bunch of kids riding home on the back of a huge horse, which insisted on walking through a dam! This led to his first book, Scratcher (1987). Since then he has written and published Lissie Pendle, The Search for Quong, Ranga Plays Australia, The Day and Night Machine, Possum and Python, Twevven and the big bigger biggest baby burp, and Twevven in a very dangerous situation for children and, for adults, Thomas Bulford’s English Companion, Thomas Bulford’s Essays on Life, Language & Love, Ranga Plays Australia, and The Alone Man. Ian is active in his local community, having being involved in Scouting for more than thirty years, founded a Friends environmental rehabilitation group and is an active member of another, was President of a badminton association for seven years, and has arranged for a group of family and friends to provide long-term support to third-world women seeking financial assistance to grow their businesses. He received a Commonwealth Community Australia Day Award in 2006. He has three adult children and nine grand-children. Currently he is Chairman of Fairy Green Australia Pty Ltd, a company dedicated to inspiring and connecting the children of the world through an internet project titled The Great Hall of Dreams.

Author bio:
Michele Stegman has loved history all her life. When she was studying history in graduate school, one of her professors quipped that she put too much romance in her research papers. She decided to put in more romance and write historical romances. Her Fortune series is following the adventures of the Fortune family through piracy and war in the 1700’s. Conquest of the Heart, her upcoming book, takes place in England in 1067, just after the Norman Conquest. It is quite different from most books that are set during the Conquest. For one thing, her hero is not a big, brash Norman conqueror. He’s a Saxon. It’s the heroine who is the Norman. Her people conquered his country, now she must conquer his heart! Michele was never interested in writing contemporary novels. But one day she was driving along, thinking of nothing in particular, when the entire plot for Mr. Right’s Baby popped into her head. She couldn’t stop thinking about it and finally decided it was a book that had to be written. Michele lives her history every day. She lives in an 1840’s log cabin, and sleeps in a 200 year old bed with her very own hero, her husband, Ron. She spins, weaves, makes her own soap, and bakes her own bread and crackers. Two cats, Chopstix and 5, demand lots of petting, but her two daughters, Kira and Shana, are the delight of her life. Michele also dabbles in art, and is a member of the Southeastern Indiana Art Guild.

It's hard to even think of having a moment alone. But it is when we are alone, that our sixth sense has a chance to surface. I invite you to take a moment, or two, for yourself to sit down, dim the lights and spend some time with the strange and the weird. Sift through some stories that will have you looking into dark corners, listening to the creeks of the floor, and wondering if the movement of your curtain is the work of something other than a breeze.

Nick Hayden has never known exactly what to write in his author’s bio, but he’s willing to try. Nick is married to his lovely wife Natasha, he is father to his wonderful son Fyodor. (No, we are not Russian.) Sometimes Nick really loves to write. Sometimes, he prefers to dream about writing. Most times, he enjoys reading things he’s already written. Without a doubt, he has to write. He truly believes that fiction is a lie that tells the truth. That is why he writes, and that is why he loves fiction. He tends to read books published before his birth, though he is always willing to make exceptions. He tends to write speculative fiction, though he is always willing to make exceptions. Nick believes in the redemptive sacrifice of Jesus Christ and believes that Jesus is the truth. This may very well show up in his writings, but hopefully won’t land like a piano from a third story window. Above all, Nick hopes that something here will inspire you, entertain you, make you think, or simply make you smile. If not, he supposes he’ll have to keep at it until something does.

Exile (The Extraterrestrial Anthology, Volume I: Temblar) by Dave Robinson Exile (The Extraterrestrial Anthology, Volume I: Temblar) by Dave Robinson March 13, 2012 Free! 1540 words Read a sample
Author bio:
Dave Robinson finds that one of the joys of being a freelancer is that it lets him work from home most of the time. He also finds that one of the terrors of being a freelancer is that it lets him work from home most of the time. Home where he's comfortable; home, where the dog, cat and daughter feel it's always a good time to bug Daddy. Outside of writing he's done everything from counseling at a day camp, cleaning carpets, to managing a bookstore. Inside of writing, he's ghostwritten two novels and written two more of his own. These days he's more of an editor than a writer, but sometimes the itch still scratches. There's really not much more to say, other than that he's a reader as well as writer – he still collects comics and has read the entire decade of the fifties from Astounding, Galaxy, and If magazines. There is a universe of possibilities out there, and it's his hope that someday we'll get to see them.

Her work has appeared in a about a dozen magazines and anthologies. She is working on her first novel, an urban fantasy about vampires and werewolves and witches (oh my!) Trina lives near Tulsa, OK with her husband, one horse, one dog, and three cats.
