Lost Love

The gentle rain tickles my burning skin

Easing the pain of a love lost to me

Rising stream leaving me behind

Trapped in this heartache

Memories of a Nameless Face

My mind is haunted by the nameless face of my past. A face with many friends all of which I never got to know. Now my heartache knows that face is just a memory. The face I fell in love with, which never loved me back, for it never knew how I felt. How I long to see that face outside of my memory. So I can let it know how much it meant to me. A face that I hope never sees the rain of sorrow that cascades through so many lives. Who’s heart will be treasured like the last sun set in the winter sky. Knowing that as I age I will still have the nameless face as perfect as the day I left it behind. How I long to see that face again so it knows how much it still means to me after all this time.

Mirror

Mirror of my life can you sing to me

A song of love that triumphs over adversity

Or will you just laugh

Will you reflect the harshness of reality?

Nameless Memories

You’ve seen my face a thousand times before

Seeing the smile of misery unwilling to let you in

As days pass by and we wave goodbye never saying hello

How I wanted you to know my name instead of just being that guy

Know you have a nameless face hanging on your screen

Instead of the faceless name smiling with misery

You’ve seen me dancing in the seasons gone

A dance of sorrow reflecting what seems like joy

As days pass by and we wave goodbye never saying hello

How I wanted to dance beside you so you could see the real me

Know you have a nameless face hanging on your screen

Instead of the faceless name smiling with misery

Along with my dance of joyful sorrows

Showing the reality that is me

Remembrance

You left my side leaving me cold in the night

At the time it meant little to me were you had gone

What a fool I was to believe in such thoughts

Seeing the tears of those who cared whilst mine were stone

Filled me with a guilt that I was in the wrong

Yet now after these eight years you’ve been absent from my heart

My tears break from their stonewalls as all the memories fill my thoughts

Of all you did for me never wishing for anything in return but my love

A love that you may have never seen whilst your eyes were open

But now that they are closed my love seems to be growing

As I sit alone and wonder what my life has become

Tracks of Life

Standing in the silence of my music playing

Thoughts rush into my head of what you are going on about

Wondering if there may be a spark I don’t know about

Yet too afraid to try and find out

My mind is a mess of trying to sort it out

For I know it will never rest till I find out

Driving those around me to insanity

With never ending nonsense

I have to find out

I wonder do you even have a clue what you mean to me

Standing there with your friends in the silence of me

Wondering if you have an idea burning in your mind

I might just want something from you but to afraid to ask

My mind is a mess of trying to sort it out

For I know it will never rest till I find out

Driving those around me to insanity

With never ending nonsense

I have to find out

All we are to one another, a passerby on the tracks of life

Yet something inside me wants you to be more than just a passerby

So will you take my hand down this new track of life?

We could build together

Travelling Man

I’ve been a travelling man all my life

It has been my first and my only love

Pulling away from the stations I have visited

So many a times with satisfaction

Until this particular one

A station crafted almost in the form of heaven

It’s light drawing me closer to the pinnacle of all satisfaction

Only to cut me off leaving me in the cold

I’ve been a travelling man all my life

It has been my first and only love

Pulling away from the stations I have visited

So many a times with satisfaction

Until this particular one

A station that can hold my attention

Far more greater than those of the past

Yet still allowing me to recharge when on empty

I’ve been a travelling man all my life

It has been my first and only love

Pulling away from the stations I have visited

So may time with satisfaction

Until this particular one

A station where I can finally rest my weary head

For the rest of time hoping to find a travelling child

To anchor us to the ground

Vampire

Children of the night running from the dawn of another day

Scuttling into the shadows of the former men they use to be

Blending into the world as if all is the same until the hunger hits

And they need to feed or face the insanity

Fear is what they bring into the night as children dream

Unaware the sinister fate that may await in the morning light

Their victims’ cries echoed through time until the light of dawn

Brings about the bringer of live and the destroy of death

Sinking into the blood flowing rivers of so many a town

Driving women and children to the gates of heaven

To drag them back down again to feel the anger of the day

Tears run cold in the hearts of all who survive the pain

Looking into the burning flames they leave behind

In the hope that the children of the night

Can’t plague another town with fear of the night

As the screams of all they loved die in the rising sun.
