State Fair Time

When the state fair opens in

The fall it’s time to listen

To the barker’s calls-time to

Eat some turkey yums- porkling

Meats -and puffy fluffy sweets-greet

Relatives on fairground streets- hear

A band beat loud drums- sample

Tasty fizzy foams-lick special flavored

Ice-cream cones-eat your fill of

Delicious scones- treat yourself

To cheese curds and chops- visit all

The food tents and shops- enjoy

Your food when it’s hot. People

Come from all around to eat tasty

Riblets by the pound. The state

Fair is finally here-pet little lambs and

Corn-fed steers- meet someone you

Met last year- try a foot-long

Hot dog- watch a lazy half ton

Hog- swing the maul and clang

The bell- walk through a strong

Onion smell- taste fresh clover honey-

Buy some fries and spend more

Money- see flowers near the fairground

Tower- need two bags of taffy

Candy- visit awhile with Cousin Randy-

See a St Bernard dancing dog-and a

Six legged bouncing frog- try some

Frosted carrot cake- and big bites of

Sweet breads baked- on display a great

White shark- in midway hit a bull’s-eye

Mark- win a little teddy bear- take

It with me high in the air- stop

At Porky’s for a meal- super tasting-

What a deal!- hear a big honking

Goose- and the wailing of a mother

Moose- throw a dozen whizzing darts-

Later jump into a midget racing

Cart- at the rodeo rope a calf. This

Really causes quite a laugh- try to ride

A bucking bull- no food needed yet-
