Adam yawned. He opened his eyes, and then he rubbed his face. It had been a lethargic two weeks with Natalia. She had been bugging him to go shopping, go to the market, buy fresh food, buy organic products, buy farm eggs, go to the fun farm, and go on the air balloon ride. Adam felt trashed. He had never pushed himself to do so many things ever in his life!

“I was going to turn it in and be a no-one;” Adam muttered as he glared at the shoes that he had pushed into a corner which had mud stains on their bases. “Now I'm a donkey nanny;” he muttered before he coughed and giggled.

Adam moved, and as he did he felt a bump. He looked across and saw Natalia next to him. She had a cushion crushed to her chest, and he realised that she must have carried it up from the lounge which he had made her temporary bedroom. Adam wrinkled his nose at the sight of her sleeping, then he shook his head, before he wriggled out of the other side of the bed.

“Some kids don't know what the words 'parents room' mean!” he huffed before he moved to have a shower.

Adam washed his hair thoroughly. He felt as though he had grit inside of its strands, and he needed to get it all out. He washed, and washed, in a rough manner. Then after a while he ended up rinsing his shampoo. He watched the white froth go down the drain, and then he moved in order to repeat with soothing conditioner. The conditioner made his scalp tingle, and after a while of soaking he also rinsed it thoroughly.
