Max, Jasmine and Grandpa are travelling in a bus to go to their farm house after a long time.
“Grandpa, how long will it take to reach the farm house? It is taking more time. If you would have told me this before, then I would not have accepted this trip at all.”
“Max, don’t you remember this place? During your childhood days we used to come here for almost every weekend. Only eight years back we stopped coming here.”
“I don’t remember all those things. It is getting darker. How many kilometers are there to reach that place?”
“Why you are shouting at Grandpa, Max? You know only to shout at everyone without giving importance to where we are and whom you are shouting to. Let me ask the driver to stop the bus. You just get down and do whatever you want to do.”
“Calm down Jasmine. Do you think you are asking Max-your husband, not to shout at me, in a pleasing tone?” asked Grandpa
“Grandpa, that is…. No. I am not. But he is shouting in a common place.”
“Is it? You are also doing the same thing, he is shouting at me and you are shouting back at him, to be quiet.”
“I am taking both of you outside, this weekend, to relax and overcome the stress of your IT job. If you are going to be tensed even here then the purpose of us coming to this farm gouse would fail.”
“Who is getting tensed? If people like Jasmine are around someone, then how can one be without tension?”
“Max, don’t try to put the blame on Jasmine. Day by day the enjoyment in married life is going far from both of you. You are not spending time in admiring many pleasant things happening around you.”
“We have to get down from the bus now. Before that, promise me that you both will not fight with each other for these two days.”
“Agreed Grandpa.”
Grandpa, Max and Jasmine entered the farm house. Starry night blanketed their farmhouse. Grandpa asked both of them to take rest that night and wished them to have a fresh morning.

“Good morning Max,” greeted Jasmine
“Morning Darling. Do you like the place?” asked Max in a cozy tone
“Yes I like and I would love to go out and have a glimpse of the fields and mountains.”
“Yes sure. Did you see Grandpa, Jazz?
“I am also searching him, Max.”
“Come let us go and see him.”
When they stepped out of the house their legs felt the chillness of the peppered snow upon the grass bed. The full area was filled with green grass, shrubs and plants.
“Good morning! Grandpa.” wished Max and Jasmine in unison.
“Good morning. Have you had a sound sleep?”
“Yes.”
“Shall we sit and talk? Come to the garden children.”
All the three took coffee cups in their hands and started walking towards the lawn.
“Grandpa, why didn’t we come here for the past one year, that is after our marriage? Max has told me about this place but I didn’t expect that this place will be so beautiful.”
“I will let you know about that afterwards. Jasmine, can you see the clouds which are touching the top of the mountain?”
“Yes Grandpa. It is nice.”
“Max’s Grandma, my wife, used to say that these fluffy clouds appear as though ‘they are decorating themselves and are performing a cat walk show on the vast blue sky’. She used to admire the nature a lot. Can you both remember? When have you spent time discussing these things? Have you devoted even a single day for thoughts like these to flow among you?”
“Yes Grandpa. I have a plan to keep ourselves happy but for which Jasmine is not accepting,” pointed Max.
“What is your plan?” asked Grandpa.
“Max has a desire to grow a pet dog in home,” said Jasmine.
“Very good Max. Why Jasmine are you not agreeing for that?” asked Grandpa.
“I don’t like pet animals. That too dogs, I hate the most. I can’t take care of a dog. I can’t clean the dog’s shit.”
“Ha Ha Ha. Is this the only reason for you, for not having a dog at home?” laughed grandpa.
“Yes! Nothing else.”
“What if Max takes care of that? Won’t you Max?”
“Yes sure! Why not?” agreed Max.
“Even you guys are having a separate room near your terrace where you can provide a space for your pet puppy. We have lots of things to learn from our co-existing species.”
“I thank you Grandpa for convincing Jasmine.”
“You are welcome.”
Grandpa decided to stay back for a month in the farm house. Max and Jasmine decided to go back and buy a cute puppy.

A month later they visited the farm house. But this time Max and jasmine had another companion. They had brought with them Vicky. A cute little pup.
Grandpa saw Max and Jasmine hugging each other.
“Jasmine! Max! I can see a lot of difference; oh I am sorry, addition in you guys.”
“Yes, Grandpa Absolutely!” agreed Jasmine enthusiastically.
“The credit should go to you Grandpa,” Max and Jasmine thanked Grandpa again.
“Me?” “Ok I will take the credit.”
“I heard your voice Vicky. Can you recognize my voice now? we spoke on mobile. Ha!Ha!Ha!” asked Grandpa cuddling the pup.
“Vicky, c’mon shake hands with Grandpa,” Max said to Vicky.
For some time they all were playing with the pup.
“Max, it’s time to give meals to Vicky. Come let us all go and arrange for it,” said Jasmine.
All had their lunch. Jasmine started recollecting fond memories about Vicky.
“Grandpa now Vicky has become a member of our family. We started treating him as our own child. Vicky is also able to recognize us well enough. Every day before getting down to office Max used to speak with Vicky for few minutes.”
“Is it Max? But I have never seen you getting time to speak with Jasmine. But now you are so close with the pup….why is that?”
"No Grandpa, Vicky has changed everything in Max. Now Max spends a lot of time with me as well," said Jasmine.
Max started running from that place in order to escape from the punch that Jasmine pretended to give on his face for not spending time with her earlier.
Max settled down on a chair. But to his surprise Jasmine got up and started running.
“Jasmine, you need not run. Come back Jasmine. Since, wherever you go, you have to come and sit with us only,” said Max in a soothing voice.
But Max also started feeling joyous and joined Jasmine and Vicky. Max also came and sat. And he continued the remaining.
“Grandpa do you know what happened one day? Unknowingly I left my car keys inside the home and got down for my office. The elevator was also not working. Four floors made me dizzy.”
“Then what happened?” there increased an anxiety in the voice of Grandpa.
“I went near the car and then only I realized that the key is missing. It was not in my pockets. But before even turning back, Vicky ran and came near me with the car key in his mouth. That moment was very touching. Tears materialised in my eyes. Till that time I was acting impersonally with Vicky. But, That day changed it all. Vicky and I became close buddies.”
“Very good Vicky. Well done.” Grandpa appreciated Vicky by holding him on his lap.
Max and Jasmine continued the story of Vicky. Now Grandpa could feel happiness in the faces of Max and Jasmine. He too was happy that they are out of stress because of him.
