About the Author
Before I even start, I want everyone to understand that I am a very ordinary individual with basic issues like everybody else; in other words, I have fallen down (in some cases, repeatedly!) but manage to get back up! As should anyone else who continues to travel on the path of life. God plays a major role in my life, for without Him, I would not be here.
I was born in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, on November 13, 1969. My father is from Jamaica and joined the navy and my mother from California. At roughly age seven, we came here to the US at Norfolk, VA., where I spent a great deal of my life. Life…hmmm…that is an enigma in itself!
Back in 2007, I worked in quality for a supply and logistics company that supplied parts for the F-150 truck for the Ford Motor Co. in Norfolk, Va. After Ford made its announcement that they were closing the plant here, I was contemplating whether to write a book that was in my head for quite some time. A friend, a man named Tom Styron, who was much older than I and worked for Ford, was having a conversation about what we were going to do next after Ford shut down. I told him that I had a book that I would like to write, but was hesitant in doing so. He asked me one question that stuck with me and that was this: what is stopping you from writing this book? I gave him all the excuses of why I should not. The last excuse was that I did not have experience. His response: Does not matter if it fails or not, but you will never know until you do, because the worse that could happen is that you never tried in the first place! And that you will regret it for as long as you live!
Well…that challenged me into something that I need to do for myself, and to this day I thank him deeply for it! Ok…so…I start the book. No sooner then I complete the first chapter, the devil went into overtime with me! My marriage completely fell apart, Ford was near closing its doors for the final time, my mother suffered a heart aneurism, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, became involved in a rather nasty car accident and I received a message that my grandfather was falling ill at age 97. ALL IN THE MATTER OF A FEW WEEKS! How’s that for an all out demon assault in my life! Every time I complete a chapter, crazy things started happening in which I finally realized that Satan did not want this book out! It was time to pray that I must complete this book. With that all said and done, I managed to finish, with the Lord in my corner!
This book started as an idea, an idea based on the scripture in the book of Revelation about a great battle that took place in heaven, between angels. Now this is a very human concept of what happened (keep in mind that no one knows what actually took place in that battle), but this story has time lines from when the Lord created the earth, to the creation of man, to the corruption of man, to the war in heaven, to finally the fall of the third that followed Lucifer. Scholars can debate the time, the angels and battles and the contents of this book (which is healthy, considering the bible should always be discussed in detail) however, that is not the purpose of this book! This story starts out with a teenager who ignored authority to do right, but ends up in deep water (literally!). The concept of morals is very prevalent in this book, based on making a choice. I hope that you enjoy reading it as I enjoyed writing it (despite all the challenges that I faced!). May the Lord Jesus Christ guide you in all your endeavors and may angels be your alibi! Amen!
Sincerely,
Webster George Clarke II

A Third Fell:
Introduction
In the beginning, we find Junior and his grandfather sitting at the dinner table eating a meal and discussing Junior's life and future in the comfortable life in a modest three-bedroom home in Virginia Beach. The conversation becomes heated when the grandfather tries to explain that there are better people to hang around with that will not bring him down.
“Look Junior, you need to do something better with your life. Those people that you hang around are nothing but trouble. I Pray to God every day that you do not get locked up, or worse, even killed because of one of them boy’s foolishness! You have to make a decision Junior between what’s right and what’s wrong,” says there grandfather whom at this point, is extremely frustrated with Junior’s lifestyle.
“Grandfather, I don’t want you to preach to me that God stuff. You’re old school. I ain’t with that good, evil mess…besides this is my life, and I am in complete control. You been disappointed in me ever since I dropped out,” says Junior who also becomes frustrated because he knows that every word that his grandfather said was true. However, he also knows that the life he is living is going down a path that he really does not want, but giving his life to the Lord was something he was not ready for yet and did not really care. Then his cell phone rings.
“Yo, what’s up… you got your cousin’s Honda? Come get me …alright,” says Junior in his conversation with his friend.
“Now where are you going? Running off into some more mess!” voices his grandfather as he watches Junior grab a light jacket on the way out.
“Just chill, alright? It ain’t like my homeboy is pulling up in a stolen car, or anything like that,” says Junior as he headed for the door.
“Junior, don’t go! The Holy Spirit is telling me that you shouldn’t grandson, please,” says the grandfather as he starts to cry.
“Oh man…look we’ll talk about it when I get back… I promise…look…my boys are waiting for me outside,” says Junior as he hears the horn from the Honda Accord, but notices something strange, something not right with his grandfather, but chooses to go anyway.
“Lord please protect my grandson, and may he give his life to you. Please Lord, before I leave this world, let me witness my grandson give his life to you,” softly speaks the grandfather. With a tear to eye, he grabs his chest, stumbles to the phone to call 911, barely makes the call, and then collapses on the floor with a major heart attack.
Shortly after, Junior is in the car with his fellow teenage friends as they drive down the street, unaware of his grandfather’s fate.
“You like it?” says his friend.
“This is sweet!” says Junior as he checks out the interior.
“We’re going to the strip to hang out at the beach! Don’t worry about money, Junior, we got loot,” says a third teenager in the back seat.
“That’s what’s up,” says Junior.
Seconds later a police officer pulls up behind the young teenagers and turns his blue lights on.
“OH SNAP! PO-PO!” screams Junior’s friend as he accelerates away from the police officer.
“I though this was your cousin’s car, man! What’s up with this?” screams Junior in panic mode.
“I just borrowed this girl’s car for a minute,” says the young driver. Then Junior finally notices the broken ignition. Now the boys are involved in a high-speed chase from the police!
Two police officers are talking about a church service the night before, when they receive a call from dispatch of a stolen car pursued by other officers in a chase. The two officers see the stolen car speed by their squad car, before joining the chase. The officers are now at speeds more than 100 miles an hour before approaching a stop light. The stolen vehicle takes a sharp turn at a red light, side swiping a tow truck, but manages to keep control. The two officers’ car hits the car in tow directly, wildly sending the unit air born, and then crashes into other vehicles. In the mist of the crash, two Guardian angels grab the unsuspecting officers from behind, holding them tightly during the horrific accident. Both officers crawl out of the mangled wreckage with out a scratch. The two Guardian angels stand next to the wreck police cruiser and watch an Archangel fly past them to join the chase.
Soon after, that Archangel tails three demons in flight following the stolen car with the three teen-agers in it. Two of the demons stop with just enough time to throw a barrage of deadly fireballs at the pursuing angel. With barely enough time to summon a shield to protect himself, he is knocked backwards into some trees. As the angry Archangel gets up and takes a few short steps into full flight, he manages to catch up with the demons. He shoots a beam of brilliantly bright blue light from his hand, but misses the attending targets. Suddenly, one of the demons nudges the Honda and sends the car through a guardrail and into an artificial lake near by! As the demons land at the banks of the lake, they look at each other in gratification of a job well done as they watch the doomed car plunge into the water, then leave the seen of the chaos.
The lone Archangel dives into the water only to save one of the teen-age boys from drowning by pulling him out of the sinking car. With a brief glance, the Archangel notices that the boy, Junior, looks him in the face before passing out. After pulling his body to shore, the angel looks up and hears the voice, “Well done my good and faithful servant.”
Moments later on the other side of the lake, a beautiful redheaded demon, a fallen angel of higher rank summons the three demons of lesser power that were responsible for the wreck. After slapping one of the demons, her demonic voice whispers, “You have failed in your assignment! The one that needed to die is still breathing, you idiots!”
“But Mistress, the angel that saved the boy is none other than Archangel Gabriel, himself! We are no match for him,” states one of the demons.
“Did you say ‘Gabriel’? Come, we have much work to do. We will seek Lucifer for further instructions,” orders the red headed demon as they disappear into thin air.
Junior’s life is spared, only because of a praying grandfather who is dying in a hospital, who continues to pray that his grandson will understand the difference between good and evil and that he will give his life to the Lord. Little did the grandfather know that God has a special plan for the troubled boy.
As for the angels and demons, well… you may ask; ‘how did the angels and demons start this warfare?’ It all started when A Third Fell….
A Third Fell: In the Beginning!
Chapter 1
* In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
*And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of the God moved upon the face of the waters.
We begin our story at the Government Temple, where at the council table at the Government Temple, ten Archangels sit, each with Guardian general angels and some with other angels of different affairs , with Lucifer sitting at the head of the table separate from the other Archangels, giving reports in preparations for all levels of heaven, for this is the day the Lord was going to give earth life! Discussions on keeping order in heaven was crucial, not because of unruly angels trying to cause problems ( the truth of the matter is, angels are not unruly in general), but every angel wants a glimpse of the Creator when the earth forms, and there had to be order when it happens.
Now to understand whom Lucifer was, to put it basically….he was the top angel, God’s first angel created, his “morning star”. He was THE Archangel, an angel of the highest rank. Once an obedient servant of the Creator, he ran the government of things in Heaven over all angels, both seraphim and cherubim alike, with highest respect. Nevertheless, something sinister was brewing; something that would change the lives of both angel and man alike, for Lucifer’s heart had become hard, filled with pride. He was also the most beautiful angel ever created and he knew that too. When he walked, you could here chimes of music as he moved about. No one knew that his pride would turn into a sin that would start all sins for Lucifer. He was also a persuading figure that quite a few angels would, not just listen, but also literally follow him eventually to the gates of Hell itself.
However, not all angels would blindly follow him. Take Michael, for example. He was a true devoted servant of God. The only reason why he followed Lucifer’s directives was only because he was second in rank and that it was a requirement to be obedient. Sometimes there were days where he found himself asking the question “why must I follow this angel, Lord? I pray for change, my Lord, but a change of what?” Little did Michael know that his prayer was about to be answered.
“Michael, report,” ordered Lucifer as faced a holographic map of the Southern Gate behind him.
“All locations secured sir… we have sentries posted at all marks. All gates secured. All temples secured. The Creator may proceed to the Southern Gate,” replied Michael as he handed Lucifer a scroll.
“Well done! Please advise the Lord’s Special Guardian Seraphim to proceed when ready, in full ceremonial battle armor. I will meet you there and uh Michael… job well done as usual! Council dismissed!” chirped Lucifer as he stood up, walked over and patted Michael on the shoulder.
“Thank you sir…your will is my command,” said Michael as he stood from his chair and saluted Lucifer. With his right hand balled into a fist, quickly covered his heart, opened his hand, lowered it, then made an about-face as he rushed out the Government Temple doors, grabbing two top senior angels on the way out, one of them Gabriel (an Archangel), the other Lucinda (Guardian General).
“Lucinda, send word to the Lord’s SGS, they can proceed at the Lord’s disposal,” ordered Michael as he waited for a response from her.
“Thy will be done, I will personally give word,” returned Lucinda as she saluted Michael.
“Very well, Gabriel… walk with me,” ordered Michael as he cleared the huge double-doors on the way out.
“You look tense Michael, what’s on your mind?” asked Gabriel as he sensed Michael was feeling uneasy.
“I …I…hmmm… nothing. Have you noticed Lucifer has been becoming more arrogant lately, as if he were planning something…something…never mind,” stopped Michael when he noticed Gabriel’s confusion on his face, not that he expected for him to understand. In fact, he could understand why Gabriel was looking at him oddly. Maybe it was because Michael was not making any sense to himself.
“Michael what’s eating you? I must say, you have not been right since the Lord announced that he was going to proceed to create the earth! Are you alright?” asked Gabriel with a little concern in his voice this time.
“I have this feeling that something sinister is brewing, I can’t place my finger on this,” replied Michael as his countenance changed with intensity.
“Look, later after this is over, we’ll talk my friend,” returned Gabriel with the look of concern back at Michael. He knew that if Michael had a problem it generally warranted attention.
“O.K. …is everything ready?” asked Michael as he grabbed some composure.
“Yes Michael. Everything is ready by your command,” returned Gabriel.
“Very well, on target as usual my cheerful friend! Signal Archangel Uriel to prepare the Southern Gate for opening and have all sentries at their stations. Have all Guardian angels on stand-by. Have all Guardian Captain angels report to their Guardian Generals anything out of the ordinary, no matter how small,” ordered Michael.
“Our Lord creating the earth is ordinary?” asked Gabriel as he laughed with a hint of sarcasm as he saluted.
“Would you get out of here?!,” laughed Michael as he returned his salute.
Later, everyone arrived at the Southern Gate. A path formed towards the gate where God was walking majestically with his Special Guardian Seraphim. Guardian angels in dress uniform opened the gate, while twelve angels sounded trumpets. As he walked by, angels were bowing at his presence. Once there, he signaled the seraphim to leave as he turned to see the angels as they knelt before him. With a mighty laugh, the Lord signaled the angels to get up. Angels were beginning to rush the gate to see God’s hand at work, while they worked the sentries into overtime to manage the hundreds of thousands to see the great site.
“Maintain order angels!” shouted one of the sentries as the angels barely listened him.
“Hey! God is creating the earth, come quickly, you’ve got to see this!” as one of the angels screamed with excitement, while on the way to the edge of darkness, where God was standing majestically, silently, as he pierced his Holy Eyes into a very dark, black void past the gate into space.
As Michael the Archangel followed a exceedingly joyous crowd of other angels as they muscled each other to sneak a peak of God’s long anticipated work, he saw Lucifer with a small crowd of angels in which surrounded him on the way in flight, not quite in the hurry as the other angels, but still filled with awe. “Lucifer, isn’t it magnificent? Our Lord God is about to unfold something never seen before, a chapter of something that will never be forgotten for ages to come! Hallelujah!”
“Yes, Michael. To watch God create something of this magnitude is indeed uncanny! Just imagine if we had that kind of power, Michael! Imagine the things we could do beyond our reaches! Think of it!” said Lucifer as he and his company of angels were forced to keep up with Michael in flight towards God’s position. Nevertheless, Michael was not amused with this remark. In fact, he heard words like this before from Lucifer, but he dismissed the remarks knowing that Lucifer had always been a dreamer, but a dreamer in charge of all of the angels’ activities and ultimately the government of God. However, Michael had no idea that a battle of epic proportion was about to take place in the glorious Kingdom of God!
Michael was an angelic warrior that all of Heaven knew. He stood handsomely tall, with dark hair to match his fair skin. When he spoke, his voice demanded authority. His unlimited talented skills equaled his wisdom, which is why the Lord appointed him second in command, but one would never have known it because of his humbled meekness, a meekness that also pleased the Lord God.
“Oh stop frowning! Although I am in charge of all of the angels and the government of God, even I have limitations! Do not you realize that God is the Almighty? He can never be challenged! You would have to be deranged to take on the Creator! Praise His Holy Name, Michael, praise His Holy Name!” said Lucifer as he realized that he was going a bit too far with his conversation.
“You are right, Lucifer. I will be honest with you, though. Sometimes you worry me when you talk like this,” said Michael, not at all amused from Lucifer’s comment.
“Look! He created me, the First Angel! The magnificent morning star! Nevertheless, understand that I have responsibilities over all the angels, just as you have a responsibility that you have to delegate and that includes whatever assignments I give you, remember that. One day you will realize that we all have potential far beyond our wildest dreams! Now let us watch God create the earth. How do you think He’s going to do this?” asked a very coy Lucifer as he focused his attention forward.
“I do not know, but I will guarantee it will be nothing like we have seen before! Look Lucifer! He’s starting to speak!” anxiously voiced Michael as he tried to forget the last remark Lucifer had made. To Michael, it did not matter, for he was about to witness the Creator undertake a wondrous feat as he looked on while the other angels were scrambling to find a place to watch this glorious event unfold.
As Lucifer and Michael arrived at the Southern Gate, huge gatherings of angels were there. Anywhere from cherubim, to seraphim, to the warriors, to the teachers, to the builders and in between, the gathering of countless number of angels themselves was impressive, even into the millions, but did not hold a candle compared to what God was about to do!
So there it was:
* In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And God said, “Let there be light!” and there was light.
* And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
As the Lord looked briefly at the angels, he turned his attention back to the earth and said with a hardy, firm, fatherly, but soft gracious heavenly voice, he thundered, “It is good.”
The roar of praises was deafening as the Lord started preparing for the world below. As God turned to face the crowd, the angels immediately knelt down to worship Him, as silence fell through out heaven. Later, the angels stood and returned to their normal duties, in excitement. Lucifer walked with his small group of Guardian General Angels away from the main crowd, purposely avoiding any conversation that he would have encountered with the others, but caught by Gabriel.
Now Gabriel was lanky in build, not skinny but muscular cut, with a longer than usual wingspan, which probably explained why he was the best angel in flight. He also had a jovial disposition that would make even the most disgruntled angel smile, a clown at times, and if he cracked a joke, you can forget it! However, his service to the Kingdom as a messenger was no laughing matter. When God gave him a directive, you can best believe that there was none more submissive than he was.
“You know, God must have a plan, a plan so glorious, that the earth must be only a stage of something greater. What do you think it is?” asked Gabriel, knowing that there was no real answer that he could give.
“It’s simple, Gabriel. He is creating this world for us. By me being the First Angel, he would probably leave me in charge of the world that he is creating. It would be an honor to lead a world for God,” said Lucifer as he stopped for a moment to chat with Gabriel.
“You? I doubt that seriously. The Lord’s plan does not evolve around us, let alone you. Your arrogance precedes you, Lucifer!” said Gabriel as he laughed aloud.
“No, my friend. Arrogance is denying your true future, your true powers! We are much, much more then just mere servants, don’t you see?” responded Lucifer.
“All I see is that you need to abandon your thoughts of such ridiculous non-sense. I recognize and truly respect your authority, Lucifer, but we all have boundaries that we must obey. I, myself, am a true servant of the Lord God! Besides, although you are the Head Angel, you are all alone when it comes to your thinking. No one in his or her right mind would exercise such foolishness! We are not like Him, for the Creator has truly blessed us!” returned Gabriel as he eyed Lucifer.
“Perhaps, but there are others who DO think like me. I want you to know that I am not trying to be like God. I am just merely stating an observation, Gabriel. But, it is something to think about,” said Lucifer as he showed a bit of annoyance towards Gabriel.
“Lucifer, forgive me, but do you go around and push this idea to every angel you talk to? What is next… teaching cherubim that they are gods? You cannot go around thinking like this. Too many angels respect your authority. Besides do you really think that God would accept your way of thinking?” replied Gabriel, being a bit irritated about the whole conversation in general.
“Of course not! You are right, Gabriel. I did not mean to sound like I’m trying to over throw the Kingdom,” said Lucifer, as he chuckled with Gabriel’s question.
“We do not understand His ways, but obviously we are part of a big picture. He is a God of order, and He has commandments for us for our benefit, remember that! These are glorious times, Lucifer! You are about to lead us into an era that is going to glorify the Creator to the utmost!” said Gabriel with a weak smile.
“Again, you are right, sorry for the misunderstanding. Here is a list of angels with their duties attached. I want double the sentries on the Southern Gate, Gabriel, coordinate this with Uriel at once…return to your duties,” said Lucifer as he gave a dark fake half smile to Gabriel, then walked away briskly as Gabriel watched uncomfortably.
“Duties carried, sir,” replied Gabriel as he saluted, but started to regret being a bit bold with the Head Archangel. “That was STUPID Gabriel…STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!” he said to himself as he realized that the conversation could have ended up with ‘you are relieved of duty Gabriel’. “Wonder why he let me get away with that?” he thought again to himself, but started to finally dawn on what Michael was talking about.
Later, Gabriel found Michael gazing in amazement out the gate on the first day of Gods creation. Gabriel walked up to Michael and put his hand on his right shoulder and then said, “Only the Lord God can do this…this… this awesome display of beauty.”
“It is spectacular. I cannot tare myself away from staring at the earth! And this is only the first day, wait until tomorrow!” said Michael in awe as he gazed at the earth.
“I know what you mean, Michael… say, I talked to Lucifer just a while ago, and I think he is actually jealous, but I think he’ll get over it,” chuckled Gabriel.
“I’m glad to see that it amuses you. I, on the other hand, do not think it is funny. I spoke with him earlier myself, and he gave the same old speech about our future and powers that we angels posses to do things, but only this time, this conversation was a bit creepy... extremely dark. I am concerned. I think we need to start keeping an eye on him,” Michael’s voice was locked in serious mode, as usual, but this time, he had Gabriel’s full undivided attention.
“Say on, Michael…” said Gabriel, as his jovial eyes were fixated on Michael, showing some concern. “Do you really think he has other angels believing his statements of power? You can’t be serious?”
“Gabriel, you know he is persuasive, has charm, and charisma. When he speaks, his mere voice attracts attention no matter where he is. A while ago, I over heard him feed that same garbage to some other angels, and if I did not know any better, I would have sworn that those angels were seriously considering his words,…..this makes him dangerous. He is already a leader in power, and I think he is going to eventually abuse it,” said Michael.
“That’s pretty heavy Michael! So what do you propose to do, take this to Emmanuel?” asked Gabriel.
“I think he needs to know Lucifer’s actions and where-about. This might be nothing, but lately, I have been giving this some great thought. What if he is planning something? What if we dismiss this? What if we say or do nothing, and Lucifer actually does the unthinkable?” solemnly responded Michael.
“Those are great accusations, Michael,” said Gabriel.
“May the Lord forgive me if I’m wrong, but something’s definitely not right, Gabriel. I feel it right through my wing tips,” said Michael, as he displayed his wings in preparation for flight, but waited for Gabriel’s response, for his opinion mattered.
“If you feel this way, then you should go! It is your duty to do so. You are my friend, and I value what you have to say. Moreover, so would Emmanuel. You have my support,” said Gabriel, who knew that Michael’s discernment was accurately clear, and that action had to be taken.
“I shall! And thank you my friend!” said Michael as he swept his wings back, and then thrust them almost to his feet. With a single, yet powerful lift, he was on his way to the temple to meet Emmanuel. His speed matched his urgency as he flew straightway to his destination. Deep down in his heart, he knew that he was right about Lucifer. However, what if he is wrong? What if he was accusing him of something not true?
What would be the consequences? Would Emmanuel understand his concerns?
Michael finally arrived at his destination, the Primary Temple Great Throne of Judgment, but now instead of the feeling of urgency, he was littered with confusion. “This feels wrong,” he thought. “No, I’m sticking to my original mission! I must see Emmanuel! I must seek his council! He would know!” Now the Archangel was focused on what he needed to do. Softly he heard music getting louder and in step. “That familiar sound of notes… It can’t be!”
Suddenly, he saw Lucifer walk out of the temple with an escort of cherubim! “No!” he thought. “What if he knows why I’m here?”
“Hey Michael! Glory to God, what are you here for?” Lucifer asked.
“I had some questions about earth,” Michael replied.
“I think Emmanuel knows something, but he’s keeping a tight lip. God is in the back of the temple, but he is not seeing any one! If you can get in, it would be a miracle! Ha, just a joke. I’ll see you around,” said Lucifer as he took a running start to take flight. He turned his head at Michael with that same dark weak half-smile he gave Gabriel. Then he disappeared with his group of other angels in flight.
“What did he say to Emmanuel? Does it matter? Stick to your sword, Michael,” as he said to himself as he took a deep breath and walked between the extremely tall pillars that seemed to loom over him as though he was the very floor itself. To his right, he saw a table in brilliant white stone, with two chairs to match. Then a warm feeling of safety and love started to over whelm him when he started to get deeper into the temple, and to his surprise, it was the Lord God himself who walked right up to him! Michael immediately dropped to the floor and worshiped Him, laid prostrate before Jehovah, wings spread out, like a soaring eagle in flight.
“My Lord! Praise your Holy Name! I’ve come to…” explained Michael, but was interrupted by the Lord God.
“I know why you’re here, Michael. I know your concerns, they are valid and he is not alone. It was just a matter of time. Michael, please sit with me…,”said God, as his voice thundered softly with assurance.
“In time, Lucifer is going to turn on me and my Kingdom, and corrupt my masterful creation that you will eventually know as Man due to jealousy. He also knows that if man falters, the earth will default to him. When he does, his disobedience will be unforgivable. Man will be created for you to serve, but man will need your protection. However, man will be made just a little lower than the angels. All this will fall in place and your eyes will remain open to the truth of what is yet to come,” said the Lord God, then sighed and started to tear.
“You know that Lucifer was the first angel I’ve created and loved him dearly, but I’m afraid that his growing arrogance will eventually destroy him. That is why I am going to create a place so terrible that he, even he, must understand that I am also a God of law, order, and justice. I am not a God of confusion, or chaos. What I create, and rule, I do out of love, and righteousness. We must live by law, for without it, there would be destruction. In addition, we cannot bend the laws to fit whatever we feel like doing, because it will eventually lead to chaos and ruin. In time, Michael, you will face Lucifer. Start preparing, my child. Build your faith. Do what must be done, for you do not have time to linger,” spoke God softly.
“My Lord, may I ask; where is Emmanuel?” Michael asked.
“I’m preparing my son for a mission that may take place on earth for mankind one day,” God got up from sitting next to Michael, and walked away from him. He stopped, turned around, and laughed hardily and said, “You know, this will all work out according to my plan. Have faith, Michael. It is all well. Return to your duties.”
“Yes, my Lord….” Michael got up, walked towards the exit of the temple. There, Gabriel met him outside of the temple.
“So….what did he say?” asked Gabriel.
“He didn’t. I talked with our Creator, God himself,” Michael looked back at the temple slowly, and then looked back at Gabriel. “Gabriel, he knows! He explained what has to be done! Gather three of your most trusted friends; I have a job for you. We will meet at the Northern Gate with them tomorrow. There, I will give you instructions on how to monitor Lucifer. In addition, I want to know whom Lucifer is close to, I want names of the other angels. In the mean time, I am going to find Deloris and meet you there. Maybe she can give more incite on who is also involved with him and how many. Now go, my friend. Go quickly, and may your mission be blessed.” ordered Michael, and then the two saluted each other.
“As you wish,” said Gabriel before he disappeared from sight of Michael. He knew what must be done. The very thought of Lucifer turning against God was unheard of, let alone the possibility of him having followers to undertake such a task. In addition, what was Man? Was this the purpose of His creation of earth? What would man be like? Wow, other beings in the Kingdom! That, in itself, would be reason to praise his Holy Name uncontrollably, but, if Lucifer undermined this, then there would be no chance of that happening! The Lord had a plan. Most importantly, what was Emmanuel’s role for Man? Surely, he held the key! Nevertheless, how? “Whatever the case, I have a sworn duty to defend God, this Kingdom, and the plans for Man, even if it costs me my very existence. And defend it, I shall! Hallelujah!”
“I hope I can catch her after class, because if not, it will be difficult to find her, especially when she is on assignment for the Lord. I wonder if she knows what is going on with Lucifer. Would she take me seriously? Nonsense! We‘ve been friends too long not to….I know…I’ll send a sentry to have her meet me at the Northern Gate” as he thought to himself on his way to catch her before she dismissed her class, but changed course in route to the Northern Gate.
*and God called the light Day, and the darkness he call Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
A Threat to the Kingdom!
Chapter 2
* And God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”
William, Mathew, and Ira were patrolling the Eastern Gate when Gabriel approached them with great velocity. The three took several steps back to keep from being landed on. “Sir, what are your orders?” asked Ira.
“I did not mean to startle you, but it seems we have a growing problem that may become a threat to the Kingdom,” voiced Gabriel.
“A threat to the Kingdom? That is impossible! Who could threaten the Kingdom under God’s Rule?” questioned William.
“And why would they take a chance on having the wrath of God’s fury brought down upon them? That would be the very core of insanity!” added Mathew.
“I know this sounds incredible, but the threat is indeed real. In fact, Michael and I spoke on the matter, and he spoke to God personally! We are to meet him at the Northern Gate. The topic of discussion will be Lucifer,” said Gabriel.
Now normally, in any circumstances, Gabriel usually had a pleasant demeanor about himself, even in the direst of straights. This was different though. The three angels noticed a solemn look on his face like never seen before, and they knew this demanded serious attention. Not saying that they never gave Gabriel attention before in the past, but this is all too different.
“Lucifer!” exclaimed the three simultaneously.
“We must assemble the rest of the angels to deal with him immediately!” exclaimed William.
“I agree, we can’t have him walking around causing this kind of conflict, Gabriel,” said Ira, as he started to tense at the mere thought of the nightmarish news he just received.
“Remember friends, our Lord is still a God of order. Besides, Lucifer has not done anything major to warrant his apprehension. Believe me if it gets to that point, we will receive instructions to deal with him on the matter, which is why you’re here, right Gabriel?” spoke Mathew as he focused on Gabriel.
“That is precisely right,” replied Gabriel. “Michael will give us instruction on how to keep tabs on Lucifer.”
“Why don’t we tell more angels about his intentions?” asked Ira.
”There is one other that Michael is going to alert, and that is Deloris,” answered Gabriel.
“Ha, this will be good! I understand that she doesn’t care for Lucifer at all,” said William.
“True that indeed!” replied Mathew.
“Any more?” asked Ira.
“Not as of yet. First, we do not know if he even has intentions. Second, he may have followers that might alert him of what we are doing. Third and most importantly, we are to observe, nothing more. If this turns out to be nothing, then life goes on,” answered Gabriel.
“And if there’s more than meet’s the eye?” asked Mathew cynically.
“Then, may the Lord give us what we need to deal with this matter.” answered Gabriel.
“Amen,” said the angels softly as they flew off to the Northern Gate.
Meanwhile, at the Northern Gate, Michael was talking to another angel who had just arrived. Now this angel was extremely beautiful, short in statute compared to most angels, but extremely formidable.
She had silky long hair that reached past her shoulder blades. Her eyes were hazel brown, which complimented her dark skin to match. Her petite build had been known to fool many angels when it came to sparring in training, an underestimation that she took full advantage of. Her soft voice demanded attention when she spoke, filled with wisdom, authority, and sincere respect. Her mere presence could not go unnoticed when she entered a room, filled with God’s Glory. However, most importantly, her utmost honesty made her a valued friend, a friend that Michael was definitely blessed with. Her name was Deloris.
“I’ve notice that Lucifer has a small gathering that he usually forms every once in a while. I have heard three of my students who happened to be triplets, talk about it after classes. I was even invited to one of his debates, but I chose to turn down the invitation for obvious reasons. Besides, Lucifer is too wise to have me there,” explained Deloris.
“Yes, you would eat him up, wouldn’t you,” laughed Michael.
“You know I would! Nothing in Heaven would give me greater pleasure, other than serving the Lord, than take on Lucifer in a holy debate!” exclaimed Deloris. “How many angels do you have on the way? And just how serious is this, Michael?”
“When the others get here I’ll explain in full detail,” answered Michael. “besides, I wanted to have time to explain this to all of you before God’s creation on the second day while all the other angels are there with him, especially Lucifer, who may be there, probably trying to study God’s method of creation.”
“Look! Here they are now,” said Deloris.
The four angels landed a few feet away from Michael and Deloris. As the four started to walk up, Michael wasted no time explaining the situation at hand.
“Gabriel, I am glad that you have found a few friends. The situation is becoming dire. As you all know, I have gathered you together concerning Lucifer. After speaking with the Lord, He has informed me that Lucifer will eventually try to cause harm to the Kingdom. Furthermore, he is going to try to undermine His creation down below. In addition, he has followers. Your job is to monitor Lucifer and his followers’ where about. I want to know who, what, when, where, why, and how. I need to know his plans, what he does, and what he intends to do in the future. I do not care how it is done, as long as it is done in righteousness, but if Lucifer gives you a directive, then follow it as usual. Use that time to also gather information. Deloris I have a special assignment for you…you must go and find Raphael. He is on special assignment, so you may have to go to Emmanuel to do so. Only Emmanuel knows what his mission is for the moment, but if you have to wait for him to complete his assignment, then wait. We need to talk to him before he returns to the population,” instructed Michael.
“We will follow your command,” replied Deloris and then continued on to ask, “Michael, do you think that Raphael will be deceived by Lucifer’s ill-conceived delusions of logic? No one has seen him in quite some time.”
“Are you kidding? Count on his cleverness as a trickster! Anything Lucifer has, he will always have one up on him! Besides, Raphael’s love for the Lord is impeccable. Moreover, I do trust him. I’ll see you all soon, and may the spirit of the Lord be with you,” said Michael.
“And you as well, Michael,” said Deloris and the others as they swiftly left the seen.
* And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
*And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
Rebellion!
Chapter 3
* And God said, let the waters under the Heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let dry land appear: and it was so.
“My Father, Creator of the Universe! Your plan for this world is one of love and beauty,” said Emmanuel as he walked in awe.
“You are a part of me Emmanuel. Look around you! You will be a part of this world, and you and the angels will be here, along with me someday. Mankind will need you, and your love will be like none other for them, just as my love,” softly thundered God.
“I have a question; what if man becomes disobedient and sinful?” asked Emmanuel.
“Then the world will default to Lucifer, but I am afraid that… one moment,” stopped the Lord God as he sensed Lucifer.
“Father? What is wrong?” asked Emmanuel as he looks at the Lord in puzzlement.
“Lucifer, come out from behind the rocks and step forward!” God’s voice became a bit louder, with a bit of irritation.
“Yes my Lord?” cowards Lucifer, as he approached God.
“Why are you here, Lucifer? I did not send for you to be down here, yet.” Now God knew the real answer why Lucifer came down. He also knew his heart, very dark and very wicked, and getting worse by the moment. God’s disapproval was obviously evident. Lucifer knew it. What of Emmanuel? Emmanuel knew that he may
have to face Lucifer some day in the future, a future that will be guaranteed in peace.
“My Lord, please forgive me, but I had to see your creation. I did not mean to be disobedient. This world is a marvel like never seen before!” uttered Lucifer.
“Lucifer, you must understand that creating this world requires control, not chaos and confusion. There must be laws in place, not to rule with an iron fist, but to protect you from things that you ought not to be involved. You must change your ways Lucifer, or you will find yourself involved in an eternity that you will regret. Return to your duties in Heaven. You are not to return here until I say so,” thundered God, now a little upset at the very idea that Lucifer is only going to get much worse.
“Yes, My Lord,” whimpered Lucifer.
Angering God might have been a grave mistake. In fact, that was not the plan at all. “How could I have been so stupid? I should have known better.” As he quietly thought to himself, he headed back to Heaven. “That is fine. I have accomplished what I was set out to do.” Lucifer’s jealousy started to set in solid. “How dare Him! Giving this world to mankind! I am the First Angel! I have a right to this world. In time, My Lord, You will see! I will raise a mighty army and take what rightfully belongs to me!”
“Emmanuel, Deloris is looking for Raphael. Make sure that he finds her my son. I will not waver in My plans for Mankind. We will let Michael and the angels that are righteous, over come to win this battle which is about to set place. Lucifer will be his own undoing.” His voice rumbled as he continued his walk with Emmanuel on dry land.
Later, at the Southern Gate, Deloris was patiently waiting for Raphael.
“I wonder just how many of my students are contaminated with that idea that Lucifer has been spreading….and my fellow teachers and professors…. how many other angels are actually going to commit themselves to him,” this made her extremely uneasy.
“What if Lucifer decides to contaminate mankind? The consequences would be horrifying!” she continued to ask herself the same questions over again.
Finally, Raphael, in flight, saw her standing at the gate. Deloris, almost in a trance, did not see him right away, as he landed next to her almost haphazardly at the gate. This startled her.
“Hey, snap out of it!” yelled Raphael as he grabbed and hugged her tightly. “Deloris! It is a blessing to see you again! How are you? You look unnerved. Something is not right. What has been happening in my absence?” asked Raphael with serious concern in his voice.
Now, Raphael is very tall and muscular built. With brown hair that matched his physique, and bronze skin to fit and his disposition is very uncanny. His smile and warm heart was not to be confused with his quick actions of service, no matter how challenging the job, no matter what commands given by God, one would best believe, it would get done. At any cost. After reading her face, something was definitely wrong. For an angel of her known longstanding wisdom, she seemed unsure of herself, and this in itself was unusual, almost unsettling as he started to listen to her voice becoming almost frantic. She was certainly not the professor he once remembered in his early days.
“Raphael, I have been waiting for you. Any longer, I would have gone to Emmanuel,” said Deloris as she returned the hug.
“I just left him. I was told to meet you here, but I do not know why. What is going on?” questioned Raphael, with concern.
“I have received a message from Emmanuel to meet you at this gate, and I have been talking with Michael about his concerns. Raphael, it is Lucifer. His rebellion is starting to become evident. He went to earth and was caught eaves dropping in a conversation that God had with Emmanuel. However, I do not think that Lucifer is aware that you are back yet. This is why I am here. You are to meet with Michael as soon as possible…” as
Deloris explained to Raphael, she watched the slight disbelief come over his countenance, but shortly disappeared after studying her. Deep down inside, he knew it would eventually come to this.
“It was just a matter of time, Deloris. Hmmm…so, he does not know that I am back yet. Good. We could use this to our advantage. Where is Michael?” asked Raphael.
“You will find him at the Northern Gate. Lucifer’s ideology is starting to spread. There are students who are starting to embrace him and there are three triplets in particular who have invited me to listen to Lucifer speak. In fact, he is supposed to have another meeting soon. I would go, just to monitor him, but my very presence will make him suspicious. However, I do have a rapport with the students that I teach, so I will begin there,” explained Deloris.
“That is a practical, but effective idea. Lucifer seems to trust me whole-heartedly. First guess is that he would seem interested in me supporting him. I have never taken him seriously, but what I have gathered so far, may be I should have. Furthermore, your experiences with your students are just the beginning. The problem is probably far worse than what it appears to be. You have an excellent idea that I will run pass Michael. What if I can get close to him and relay his actions to Michael? In doing so we can stay ahead of him every step of the way!” said Raphael as he began to digest what had been happening in his absence.
“Be careful, Raphael. Lucifer’s own delusions of grandeur make him dangerous. If you do not agree with everything he says, you will be in jeopardy,” responded a concerned Deloris.
“I am aware of that. I will take care not to cross him while I am with him,” said Raphael.
“I will return to teach. I am teaching a course and giving a lecture on gravity, and the three students will be there. I will see you again, Raphael, and may God bless you,” said Deloris as she hugged Raphael.
“And may the Lord protect you in your endeavors. Thank you, my friend. I will go at once!” As Raphael spoke softly, he shortly gazed into Deloris’ eyes, searching for any other news other than the one he just received. Then he turned around hesitantly, and jumped to take flight to seek Michael. Instead of expecting to come home to rest and relaxation from a long assignment from God, he was now forced to deal with a possible monster. A monster he once knew as ‘friend’, for this hurt him most of all.
* And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called the Seas: and God saw that it was good.
Raphael!
Chapter 4
* And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
In route to the Northern Gate, Raphael found himself wishing he could be there to see God create plants.
“Astonishing!” he thought. “There is nothing beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is the Creator! What a wonderful God I serve. It is a shame that Lucifer’s disobedience will lead him to destruction. In God’s Holy Name, what are you doing, Lucifer? How can you be so arrogant to act on your beliefs? Who would be so lost to follow you? Your jealousy of man is ridiculously unfounded! What is going on inside that twisted head of yours?” he thought again to himself.
The mere thought was simply horrible. The more he thought about Lucifer, the angrier Raphael became. Now his worst fear had come true. Lucifer was now acting on his own fantasies. What was that Deloris said? Delusions of grandeur? How colorfully true was that statement, that even any angel would see this! Nevertheless, here was the problem: he had followers, but the real question was how many? “Ah!” he thought. After all the news he could stomach from Deloris, the mere sight of seeing Michael again was indeed a blessing, even made him feel good, as he started to descend to the Northern Gate entrance.
Michael was anxiously waiting at the gate for Raphael. He had not seen him in some time, although he wished that he had seen him again under very different circumstances. In fact, asking him to become directly involved was unsettling, but he knew that the angel for the job was him. To get him close to one of Lucifer’s followers was going to be tough, dangerous, and unpredictable. The thought of Lucifer’s possible revolt brought him to great revulsion and disgust. This was starting to hit him all at once, a feeling that he was starting to regret, but he knew he would get over it. He, too, had a job to do, and he was going to see it through, regardless of how this mess turned out.
“Raphael! Thank God, you are here! It has been a long time! How was your mission?” asked Michael.
“Glorious! Any mission for our Lord has been and will always be a personal blessing for me, but this time I wished I were here for the beginning of his creation of earth. Apparently, much has been happening in my absence. I spoke to Deloris, and she told me some wicked things about Lucifer. Moreover, spying on God! What was he thinking?” asked Raphael.
“I don’t know, but I do know this: God has informed me that he is going to get a lot worse, Raphael. I have William, Ira, and Mathew gathering information for me as we speak,” replied Michael.
“Listen, I have a plan. I am going to his next meeting. Lucifer trusts me, so I think we can use this to our advantage. I think this may work…” as Raphael tried to explain, Michael interrupted him.
“No! Out of the question! If things go very bad, we may not be able to reach you in time! Not to mention he is an extremely powerful angel and powerful angels will surround him! I cannot afford to lose you! The answer is no!” demanded Michael.
“Michael, we do not have a choice! Some one has to be near him at all times, and I am the perfect candidate! He trusts me!” said Raphael.
A long pause followed. “Hmmm…. I am not thrilled about you being that close to him. I was thinking more of gathering information through some other means. I know that eventually you will have to get close, and that is what I want, but this is way too soon,”
“None sense! This is the perfect time! Besides, I will not have to go to him. He will come to me! All you have to do is leak that I am back from my mission, and he will find me. Michael, do you trust me? Please, let me do this, not just for any reason, may it be just for the Lord God, our Creator!” pleaded Raphael.
A grim countenance came over him when he asked Raphael. “How soon do you want to do this?”
“Immediately,” replied Raphael.
“All right then. It is settled. A messenger will be sent to notify Deloris to tell the triplets that you are here. She has a good rapport with them, so this should be easy. As a matter of fact, she was invited to go with them!” explained Michael.
“Yes, I heard. That would not have been a wise idea. The temptation of embarrassing Lucifer would have been far too great for her,” chuckled Raphael, as he searched for a lighter countenance from Michael.
“What a pity. I would have loved to have seen that!” responded Michael. Then the roar of laughter poured out of them simultaneously.
“May the Spirit of the Lord be with you, Raphael.”
“Bless you Michael, and may your mission be glorious!”
Then the both departed in separate directions from the Northern Gate.
Back at the school, Deloris was teaching her huge class on gravity. Now, to understand the popularity of this professor, you would have to understand a few factors that made her one of the favorites on campus. For starters, her wisdom and knowledge was known throughout heaven. Second, any time you had Archangels who had graduated from her class, like Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, Azrael, Cassiel and others, you knew her teachings must be outstanding. Third, she involved her students and personally took time to teach angels individually so they could get the education that they needed to serve God effectively. Finally, she introduced wisdom with her teachings and an added “word” for the day that was guaranteed to lift your spirit.
