Alex and the Red Planet
Alex looked up at his “glow in the dark” planets that hung from the ceiling in his bedroom.
Alex looked at the planet Mercury which is the closet planet to the sun, and then Venus. Earth, where Alex lives is the third planet from the sun and then after Earth is the red planet Mars.
Jupiter is the biggest planet and Saturn has a ring around it. Uranus is the next planet in line. Mommy likes the planet Neptune, and then the smallest planet Pluto, which is the furthest planet from the sun.
Alex closed his eyes and imagined visiting the different planets. He thought about Mars the red planet. He told his stuffed toy Doggie that Mars was his favorite planet as he drifted off to sleep and dreamed of the red planet.
